Compliance considered from the first review.
Compliance should be considered before the quote is accepted, not after the system is installed. We help clients identify what may apply — accessibility, hearing augmentation, security licensing, privacy, network impact and documentation — at specification stage.
What we help you consider.
Accessibility and hearing augmentation
Where amplified communication is part of a space, accessibility obligations may also apply. We help establish whether they do, and what a compliant design looks like for that project.
Standards that commonly apply
NCC, DDA, AS 1428.5 and state education design standards (such as EFSG in NSW, DSDEF in Queensland, and university AV standards) are addressed together at design stage rather than as separate afterthoughts.
Security licensing
CCTV and access control work requires licensed capability. Clearasound holds it.
Privacy and network
Connected devices carry privacy, access and security implications that belong in the design conversation, not the handover.
Documentation and verification
What was specified, what was installed, what was tested and what was signed — recorded so it can be demonstrated later.
Clearasound specifies, designs, quotes, installs and verifies integrated communication, access, safety, AV, PA and hearing augmentation systems to meet the applicable compliance requirements for each project.
Where a compliance requirement forms part of the agreed project scope, Clearasound will design and specify the system to meet that requirement, subject to site conditions, approved scope and project-specific authority requirements.
Traps to avoid
- Assuming installed means compliant.
- Not testing whether the system works for actual users.
- Treating compliance as a product purchase rather than a designed outcome.
- Missing signage requirements.
- Failing to train staff on how to activate the system.
- Discovering an obligation after the quote has been accepted.
Find out what applies to your site.
We will review the spaces, the existing systems and the scope in front of you, then set out plainly what is likely to apply and how it can be addressed.
Guidance is project and scope specific. A compliance check identifies what is likely to apply to your site and how it can be addressed.
