Hearing augmentation compliance checklist

Plain-English guidance on what may apply, what gets verified and what gets signed. Complete this before the quote is accepted, not after the system is installed.

Print it, or fill it in here. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Critical — define these first

Plan view of a seated venue showing the required hearing augmentation coverage area across all seating, loudspeaker positions and transmitter locations, with legend
Coverage is mapped and measured. It is not assumed from the specification.

Conditional — define if these apply

Work through each trigger. If it applies to your site, the item becomes critical.

Optional — worth defining

Not required, but each one makes the next conversation shorter.

Traps to avoid in hearing augmentation compliance

Assuming installed means compliant. Verification, signage and staff training are separate steps.

Assuming hearing augmentation is required everywhere. Or assuming it is not required anywhere.

Overlooking reception counters, interview rooms, activity spaces and multipurpose rooms.

Missing the signage requirement, so the system exists but nobody can find it.

Failing to train staff on how to activate the system.

What happens next

1Anything left blank in the critical section is a gap, not an oversight. It will surface later, usually during installation.

2Bring the completed sheet to a site review. It replaces about half the meeting.

3If a conditional trigger applies and you are unsure how to answer it, that is exactly what the review is for.
